Frequently Asked Questions for CoHeals App

1. How do I set up my account?

It’s simple.

1.) Download the CoHeals App from either the Google play store of the app store. 

2.) Open the app and complete our Vetting Form to verify that you are a parent/caregiver of a child impacted by pediatric cancer.

3.) Within 72 hours (and usually faster!) CoHeals Support will verify your information and send you  an email with next steps to get on the app. That’s it!


2. What is two-factor authentication?

To ensure that the CoHeals community is safe and trustworthy, we have embedded two-factor authentication in our app. Routine mobile notifications ensure that the user is in fact the originally-vetted user.


3.  How do I search for other caregivers?

Tap the Home icon (top left corner) to find the main dashboard.
Tap the Find People  icon.
Search Options:

Keyword Search- Enter a keyword to search the app for the keyword of your choice.

Filter Search- Complete filter data which includes the following: parent/caregiver zip code, parent/caregiver city, parent/caregiver state, child’s gender identity, child's sex, child’s current treatment phase, child’s cancer type, hospital where child was diagnosed, and current hospital

Keyword search AND Profile -ability to put in keyword search and profile data to get most specific search abilities.


4.  I found another child with the same cancer diagnosis as my child. How do I connect with their parent?

From the child profile page, tap the picture of the caregiver to the left of the child’s picture.
To learn more about this parent, tap on the Info tab (middle of page on the right).
If you would like to chat with this parent, tap the Chat icon (middle of page at the top).


5. How can I find conversations I’ve had with parents through the chat feature?

Tap the Home icon (top left corner) to find the main dashboard.
Tap the Conversation icon to find all previous chats.


6. I saw a post on the feed last week. How can I search for that post?

Tap the Home icon (top left corner) to find the main dashboard.
Tap the Feed icon.

Tap the down arrow next to the Feed label (middle of page at the top).

Enter hashtag search terms into the search box.


7. How do I find groups to join?

Tap on Home icon (top left corner) to find main dashboard.

Tap on All Groups to see a complete list of groups available.

Tap on Join + to join the group.

After joining, My Groups will show you all the groups you are a part of.

Invitations will show you groups you have been asked to join.


8. How do I start a new group?

CoHeals has created groups we feel are a good fit for the pediatric cancer community. If you have an idea for an additional group, please contact support@coheals.com with your recommendation.
